Installation Questions

Q: How do I install XKey?

A: Download the software from this link. Once xkey.zip is downloaded, unzip the file and double-click setup.exe to start the installation.

Q: How do I get started after installation?

A: After installation, restart PowerPoint. You should see a new XKey ribbon. For detailed instructions on how to use XKey, please check here.

Q: I’m getting an error during installation. What should I do?

A: If you encounter an error, please check the following:
  • Ensure you have a stable internet connection.
  • Check if any security software or firewall is blocking the installation.
  • Make sure your operating system is supported (e.g., Windows 10 or later).

Q:My security software is blocking the installation. What should I do?

A:Some security software may block the installation of XKey. In this case, add XKey to the exception list in your security settings.

Q: The XKey ribbon doesn’t appear. What should I do?

A: If the ribbon doesn’t appear even after restarting PowerPoint, try the following:
  • Check that you’re using the latest version of PowerPoint.
  • Restart your operating system and try again.

Q: Is there a free trial?

A: Yes, XKey offers a 30-day free trial (Trial License) with full access to all features.

Q: Can I reissue my license?

A: Your license is linked to your account. When you sign in, your license information is automatically synced.

Q: Can I keep using XKey if I switch computers?

A: If you're installing XKey on a new computer, first sign out of the old one. After reinstalling on the new device, sign back in using the account you purchased the license with.

Q: What payment methods are available?

A: We accept credit card payments, among others. Please check the purchase page for more details.

Q: Can I get a receipt for my purchase?

A: Yes, a receipt will be automatically issued after your purchase. Go to Account → Open Portal to access your invoice history and download receipts.

Q: How can I cancel my subscription?

A: To cancel your subscription, go to Account → Open Portal and select 'Cancel Plan'.

Q: Can I get a refund?

A: We’re sorry, but we don’t offer refunds. You can cancel your subscription anytime through the account page.

Q:Do you offer licenses for businesses?

A:Yes, we offer multiple licenses for businesses. For volume licenses or custom solutions, please contact us via the inquiry form.

Q: Can I use XKey on multiple computers?

A: XKey licenses are tied to your account. Currently, only one device can be used at a time per account. If you want to switch devices, sign out from the current one and sign in on the new device. We are planning to release XKey Pro soon, which will allow multiple devices per account.

Q: Can I use XKey offline?

A: Most features work offline, but some require an internet connection. Installation requires internet access.

Q: Can I use XKey with multiple presentations open at the same time?

A: Yes, XKey supports working with multiple presentations simultaneously.

Q: What languages does XKey support?

A: XKey is currently available in English and Japanese.
